07.10.2026 20:16 — At Aleksandar Nikolić Hall in Belgrade, in the 3rd round of the Champions League, Partizan were convincingly defeated by Veszprém, 26:37.
This defeat is the third loss in as many matches in Group A for Raul Gonzalez's side. Gonzalez, a former coach of Macedonia and the strategist who led Vardar to the Champions League title in 2017, could not find a way to stop the Hungarian team.
Veszprém impose themselves
Despite strong will and fighting spirit from the home team, Veszprém proved superior and secured a routine victory without needing to expend extraordinary effort. The Hungarian club claimed their third win in the group.
Kuleš finished as Partizan's top scorer with 6 goals, while Martinović matched that tally for Veszprém. Deska, Remili and Mate each contributed five goals for the winners.
The result deepens Partizan's problems in Group A and leaves Veszprém in a comfortable position after three rounds.
