Pelagonija youngsters train in Serbia as table tennis cooperation expands

Two young players from Pelagonija (Bitola) spent a week training in Serbia as part of a deepening cooperation between their club and the Serbian table tennis authorities.

Under the guidance of Bojan Milošević, coordinator for promising athletes, and a group of coaches from Belgrade, Kalina Miteva and Kristian Mitev trained for six days alongside Serbia’s most promising junior players and several selected members of the Serbian national team.

Regional cooperation to strengthen player development

The training camp in Belgrade is a direct outcome of an existing partnership with the Table Tennis Federation of Serbia. Organizers describe the project as a regional network intended to upgrade and accelerate the progress of current and future players from both countries.

Club officials said the hands-on work with Serbian coaches and national-team players gave the two Bitola athletes exposure to higher-intensity sessions and tactical preparation not always available at home.

Delegates from the Serbian federation are also expected to visit Skopje for a reciprocal training camp scheduled from 7 to 10 October 2026 at the Jane Sandanski Sports Centre.

Pelagonija’s exchange forms part of a wider effort by local clubs to create cross-border training opportunities that raise competitive standards across the region.
