Platforma 12:05: Venko Filipche 'holds SDSM hostage' after Brvenica defeat
Former SDSM officials demand a Central Committee report, question plans to join Hristijan Mickoski's government and call for structural reforms.

Organizers of "Platforma 12:05" say the party's defeat in Brvenica proves that Venko Filipche is keeping SDSM "hostage" and that the leadership is complicit in a deal that hands another parliamentary win to VMRO‑DPMNE.
"There is no greater humiliation for the history of SDSM than their despair that they won 225 votes more compared to 2025, while at the same time they keep silent about the fact that the candidate has 57 votes fewer than the votes that SDSM's council list won a year ago. It has once again been confirmed that this leadership of SDSM is an accomplice in the dirtiest political deal in history. Venko Filipche is the plenipotentiary who alone has the authority to hold SDSM hostage and thus deliver yet another parliamentary election victory to VMRO‑DPMNE in exchange for freedom," the organizers said after SDSM finished fourth in Brvenica, behind VMRO‑DPMNE, DUI and Vlen.
Ex‑officials demand answers from the party leadership
Platforma 12:05 called on the party president to present an account to the Central Committee and to answer a number of questions, including whether internal polling shows SDSM can no longer expect a single parliamentary seat in electoral unit 6 and who is behind renewed talk of entering a government led by Hristijan Mickoski.
They posed the questions directly: "How many polls commissioned by the SDSM leadership show that the party in electoral unit 6 can no longer hope for a single parliamentary mandate?" and "Who and why is again reviving the idea of this SDSM leadership's entry into Hristijan Mickoski's government?"
Platforma 12:05 also asked: "What else must happen to SDSM for he and his faction to understand that they should immediately and without delay leave 'Bihacka'?" and urged Filipche to accept their proposed reform plan for the party.
"Before it becomes too late, Venko Filipche must read it once again and, without attempts at bargaining, finally accept our plan for structural reforms in SDSM. If he still does not understand the messages of the voters, his supreme political authority can explain them to him," the organizers added.
