PMFL: Bashkimi host Shkendija Arachinovo in Kumanovo
Fifth-round fixture today, August 30, 2026, kickoff 16:30 — both sides look for points after last-round defeats.
Fifth-round action in the Macedonian First League continues today, August 30, 2026, with a single fixture at 16:30: Bashkimi take on Shkendija Arachinovo in Kumanovo.
Match context and form
Both teams arrive at the stadium on the back of defeats in the previous round — Bashkimi fell to Bregalnica while Shkendija Arachinovo lost at home to Arsimi. The visitors began the season promisingly as a debutant in the top flight but will be looking to recover after that home setback.
Bashkimi have struggled offensively in the opening weeks: they have not scored in the last four rounds and sit with a goal difference of 0-15, a run the report compares to how Shkupi fared last season.
In recent days both sides have strengthened their squads. Despite the heavy loss to Bregalnica, Bashkimi showed signs of improvement in Shtip and appear harder to break down at home, which could make Kumanovo a difficult place to visit.
Shkendija Arachinovo have added firepower too, most notably with the return of Amir Nuhija and the presence of familiar names Remzifak Selmani and Abdul Ruvatubje. On paper the visitors are considered favourites, but Bashkimi’s Kumanovo stadium has traditionally been a tough venue for away teams.
The match kicks off at 16:30 on August 30, 2026, and promises to be a key early-season test for both sides as they seek their first positive results in the league.
