PMFL halftime: Skopje 1–0 Vardar at Autokomanda

Skopje took a surprise 1-0 lead against reigning champions Vardar at halftime in the Macedonian First Football League match played at Autokomanda.

The only goal of the first half came from Viktor Angelov, who put the hosts ahead shortly before the break.

Controversial VAR check

Earlier in the half a handball by Mihail Manevski inside his own penalty area prompted a VAR review, but the refereeing team led by Furkan Idrizi together with the VAR officials concluded that no penalty should be awarded.

Vardar pushed for an equaliser after going behind and created several openings, but they were unable to convert any of those chances before the interval.

Skopje — playing at Autokomanda for the first time this season as a top-flight side — remain without a win so far this campaign, while Vardar must find a way back in the second half.
