SDSM's municipal organization in Tetovo announced the death of Risto Janevski, who served as the branch's first chairman.
Janevski held the chairmanship of the SDSM Tetovo municipal organization for two terms. The party body said his long public and political engagement left a notable imprint on the branch's work and development.

“Risto Janevski was a man who devoted his entire life to public and political engagement, leaving a significant mark on the development and work of SDSM in Tetovo. With his dedication, perseverance, principled stance and long-standing activity, he made a major contribution to building and promoting the party organization and the values for which he stood,” the statement said.
The Tetovo organization expressed its condolences to Janevski's family, relatives, friends and colleagues.
“Rest in peace, respected first chairman Risto Janevski. Your work and memory will remain forever,” the Tetovo organization said.
No additional details about the circumstances of his death were provided in the announcement.
