Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje begins the 2026/2027 academic year on October 1, 2026, offering 8,851 places for first‑year students across 23 faculties.

The 2026/2027 academic year officially begins on October 1, 2026, at universities across the country, with Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje opening its doors to new and returning students.
At the 23 faculties that make up the university there are a total of 8,851 places available this year for first‑year students. The vacancies were announced ahead of the start of classes and will be filled this autumn as enrolment completes.
Student body and study levels
Currently more than 26,000 students are registered at the university. Of those, over 23,400 are enrolled in undergraduate programmes, while the remainder are pursuing master’s and doctoral studies.
University officials said the new academic calendar will include scheduled lectures, practical exercises and administrative deadlines published by individual faculties. Faculties will also run orientation activities for freshmen during the first weeks of classes.
As the semester begins, university administrations and student services have urged newcomers to check faculty announcements and to complete enrolment formalities on time to secure their seats.
