Nationwide police raids: 47 searches, 16 people detained
Operation on 16–17 October led by the Criminal Police Department seized drugs, firearms and cash; 11 charges filed.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs said a strengthened police operation carried out nationwide on 16 and 17 October resulted in 47 searches and the detention of 16 people.
The campaign was led by the Criminal Police Department in coordination with regional sectors for internal affairs and the Police Dog Unit (K9), with a primary focus on uncovering and suppressing crime — in particular illegal drug trafficking and unlawful possession of weapons.
Seizures and evidence
During the searches authorities confiscated a large quantity of marijuana, several packages of cocaine and smaller packets of cocaine prepared for sale. Officers also seized firearms — both pistols and rifles — assorted ammunition, cash and other items suspected to be proceeds of criminal activity.
As part of the operation 16 people were deprived of liberty and investigators filed 11 criminal charges for the offences "unauthorized production and placing on the market of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors" under article 215 and "unauthorized manufacture, possession and trafficking of weapons or explosive materials" under article 396 of the Criminal Code.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs said it will continue intensive actions to detect and sanction all forms of crime, with the aim of increasing the safety and security of citizens.
