More than 5,200 Russian drones used against Kherson region in one week
Kherson regional military administration says Ukrainian forces neutralised about 4,850 drones (93%); Russia reports 173 Ukrainian drones downed in 24 hours.

More than 5,200 Russian attack drones were used against the Kherson region in southern Ukraine over the past week, the Kherson regional military administration said on social networks.
Extensive targeting and high interception rate
The regional statement said the drone strikes continued to target civilians, emergency services, vehicles and facilities belonging to social and critical energy infrastructure. It did not give a detailed timetable or breakdown by locality.
Ukrainian defence units neutralised about 4,850 drones, which is 93 percent of the total number reported for the week, the statement said.
Separately, the Russian Ministry of Defence reported that air-defence systems had shot down 173 Ukrainian drones over various Russian regions and the Black Sea during the past 24 hours.
The notices from both sides reflect an intensified pattern of drone use and countermeasures along the front lines and in adjacent territories, with civilian infrastructure repeatedly named among the alleged targets.
