Over 60 women attend 'dm bring your best friend' retreat in Mavrovo
Two days in Mavrovo (26–27 September) mixed expert talks on women’s health with workshops, movement and shared moments.

On 26 and 27 September, more than 60 women gathered at the Grand Chamois hotel in Mavrovo for "dm bring your best friend", a two-day retreat organized by dm drogerie markt focused on women’s health, personal growth and self-care — and, above all, spending time with close friends.
From arrival, participants found their rooms prepared with welcome gift bags and personalized cards designed to set the tone for two days away from routine obligations. Organizers deliberately avoided a rigid seminar schedule, opting instead for a programme that shifted pace and atmosphere throughout the weekend.
Talks, practical workshops and movement
Sessions covered topics such as female energy, hormones across life stages, self-confidence, healthy eating and body awareness. The programme combined expert presentations and personal conversations with hands-on workshops: face yoga, fitness classes, soap- and candle-making, lip-balm crafting, healthy eating demonstrations, make-up lessons, spa treatments and massages.
Speakers and facilitators included Katerina Angelovska, Dr. Aleksandar Bojadzhiev, Bojana Stojmenovic Petrovska (Moj psiholog), Dragana Mladenovska Koleva, Biljana Pesheva, Martin Vidoevski, Nevena Jonovska and Andrijana Mitovska. The closing panel brought together Tijana Dapchevic, Aleksandra Gakidev and Dragana Mladenovska Koleva to discuss the female body and changes across different life stages.
“With 'dm bring your best friend' we wanted to create a space where women could set aside time for themselves, but also share it with their best friend. It was important to us that these two days bring useful and expert conversations on topics that are part of a woman's life, while at the same time moments for rest, movement, laughter and shared experiences. We are particularly pleased that more than 60 women recognized this idea and together with us created an atmosphere where self-care and female support were at the center of attention,” said Kristina Duranska, Marketing and Communications Manager at dm drogerie markt.
Beyond presentations, the weekend closed with a shared dinner and a stand-up-monodrama performance: Tijana Dapchevic’s "Menopause", which allowed serious themes to give way to laughter and relaxed socialising. Attendees left not only with gifts and practical advice but with new memories — morning yoga, shared coffee, conversations between workshops and small handmade items that will serve as reminders of the retreat.
