Strumica firefighters entered fourth‑floor apartment and found minor asleep

On the evening of September 16, 2026, firefighters from TPPE Strumica carried out an unusual entry into a fourth‑floor apartment after worried parents reported that their minor daughter had not answered calls or the doorbell for several hours.

The crew reached the apartment on 4 Juli Street using an aerial ladder and accessed the terrace. Using a special ladder they entered the flat through a window and checked the girl’s condition.

Outcome: no danger — the child was asleep

Instead of a medical emergency, the rescuers found the girl safe: she had fallen into a deep sleep and did not hear phone calls or the knocking at the door.

In a post accompanying a short video, the firefighters described the intervention as atypical but a great relief for the parents. The department said the action was carried out to make sure the minor was safe and to permit the parents to regain access to their home.

No injuries were reported and the incident ended without further measures.
