Female MPs and women staff at the Assembly to receive private mammography exams
A contract with a private Skopje clinic was chosen in March; private mammograms cost 3.000–5.000 denars.

Female members of parliament and other women employed at the Assembly will be offered mammography examinations in a private clinic, a measure added to the body’s routine health check package.
The Assembly awarded the contract to the most favourable private provider from Skopje; the decision was taken in March. The private mammography option was included as an extra service alongside the basic systematic medical check available to deputies and staff.
Private mammography examinations in North Macedonia cost between 3.000 and 5.000 denars. The procurement comes at a time when scheduling a mammogram in the public health system is reportedly difficult due to high demand and limited capacity.
Who is covered
The private mammography service will be available not only to female MPs but also to female employees working in the Assembly’s administration and the women employed in the office of the president. The service was added to the standard screening package used for parliamentary staff.
Officials say the measure is intended to ensure access to timely breast cancer screening for women who work in the legislature, by using private-sector capacity where public appointments are delayed.
No individual names or price breakdowns beyond the 3.000–5.000 denar range were published with the procurement notice.
