MP Rijad Shaqiri tells Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski: tell your security where their place is
During a session with opposition questions, Shaqiri said an incident at the Assembly entrance showed the prime minister's guards should know their limits.

MP Rijad Shaqiri of the Alliance for the Albanians used a procedural remark during a parliamentary session to criticize the prime minister's security detail, saying he had an issue with them when entering the Assembly. The session was devoted to opposition MPs' questions.
Shaqiri urges clearer limits on the prime minister's guards
Addressing Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, Shaqiri said the presence and behaviour of the prime minister's protection team in the Assembly raises problems for MPs. He told the prime minister that the security staff should know “where their place is.”
Shaqiri described an incident at the Assembly entrance but did not give further details about the nature of the problem.
In his remarks, Shaqiri warned that the government delegation’s security should not create an impression of extra risk inside the Assembly. “When we have the government cabinet in the Assembly, we have serious problems with the prime minister's security. Today I faced a situation and I wanted both the prime minister and the interior minister to know. When they come here they are safe and I don't think their security should have a drone or have the suspicion that something might happen here in the Assembly. We are all MPs and we have immunity,” he said.
Shaqiri added that he understands the prime minister has a protocol and is followed by security, but argued the guards can bring him to the Assembly without taking up excess space. “I understand that you have your protocol and your security follows you, but they can bring you to the Assembly and they don't need to occupy more space,” he said.
The exchange underlines tensions over access and movement inside the Assembly during sessions when government delegations attend.
