Near the "Njuz" intersection, in front of a café in East New Sarajevo, today at around 18:30 a shooting occurred in which the well-known criminal Kosta Pandurevic was wounded, and the police are searching for the suspect Gjorge Zhdrale.

Pandurevic, at the moment of the shooting, was in an Audi A6 in which his two-year-old child was also present. According to initial information and witnesses, the shots came from an armored Audi A8 with foreign registration plates.

"The first information from the scene indicates that Pandurevic was shot from an armored Audi A8 with foreign registration plates. Pandurevic was taken to hospital after being wounded, and his vehicle was visibly damaged by bullets," says an unnamed source.

Criminal record

Pandurevic and Zhdrale have extensive criminal records. Zhdrale was sentenced in 2010 to 20 years in prison for the murder of Ljubisa Savic Mazuzer, former head of the Police Administration of the Republika Srpska, which was carried out on June 7, 2000 in Bijeljina; he served the sentence until 2022. In 1996 he was sentenced to seven years in prison for the murder of Goran Batinic, of which he served five years and three months, and was later released by a pardon from the then-president of the Republika Srpska, Mirko Sarovic. He was tried, but legally acquitted, in connection with participation in the murder of the Todorovic couple.

In 2006 there were two assassination attempts against Zhdrale, which were linked to a conflict with his godfather Darko Elez.

Kosta Pandurevic has also been involved in a number of shootings: in July 2023 he was arrested on suspicion of having shot Adi Nukic multiple times with a pistol in East Sarajevo. At the end of 2025 he himself was the target of an attack in the parking lot of the entertainment center in Miljevici, where he was shot at with a pistol but escaped uninjured; the name Irnes Hubijar was mentioned as a suspect, who was recently detained over terrorist threats. Pandurevic has been linked to other criminal offenses as well.

A search of public sources immediately after the appearance of the information did not find additional independent confirmations; official statements from the police or health services are not yet available to the public.
