Harry Kane signs record contract with Bayern Munich, stays until 2029

Bayern Munich have confirmed that Harry Kane has signed a new long-term contract that keeps the England striker at the club until the summer of 2029. The announcement came on 5 November 2026, with the German side describing the extension as a major investment in their squad.

Contract details and pay ranking

While Bayern have not published the exact figure, reports from Germany and England say Kane has received the largest contract in the club's history. He currently earns €25 million per year; the new deal is reported to raise his annual pay substantially, with estimates indicating it could top €30 million.

Those figures would make Kane the highest-paid footballer in Europe. Erling Haaland is currently listed at €32.27 million annually, while Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior receive €31.25 million each at Real Madrid.

Harry Kane commented on the extension: "I feel at home at FC Bayern: I love the club, the fans, the city of Munich — we have a fantastic team and in Vincent Kompany a fantastic coach. It makes me very proud to be part of this club."

The 33-year-old arrived in Munich in the summer of 2023 from Tottenham Hotspur for a transfer fee of €95 million. His time at Bayern has been prolific: in 161 appearances he has scored 156 goals and provided 41 assists.

Just days before the contract announcement Kane was named the world’s best player, the crowning achievement of a career that has continued to climb since his move to Bavaria. Bayern and Kane have not disclosed the precise new salary; that detail remains to be confirmed.
