Prilep man charged with raping his daughter, victim under 15
Police say the suspect, identified by initials, raped his daughter multiple times in August 2026; criminal charges have been filed.
A 48-year-old man from Prilep has been charged after police say he repeatedly raped his daughter, who is younger than 15 years old.
The Bitola Regional Police Department filed criminal charges against Z.S. (48) from Prilep on suspicion of the criminal offence of "rape of a child who has not reached 15 years of age," the police said. According to the statement, the assaults took place on multiple occasions in August 2026.
Investigation opened and charges submitted
Authorities say the case was opened after a report led investigators to gather evidence pointing to repeated sexual abuse within the family. Formal criminal proceedings were launched when police submitted the complaint to the public prosecutor.
The victim is a minor under 15; police have not released further details about her condition or where she is being cared for, citing the need to protect the identity of the child. No additional personal data about the suspect were published beyond his initials and age.
The investigation is ongoing and law enforcement officials said they will provide more information as the prosecution advances. The case adds to rising public concern over crimes against children in the country.
