On 03.09.2026 at 02:20 a.m. in Skopje, officers from SVR Skopje detained 45-year-old H. Gj. after a prior complaint that she had for an extended period been psychologically and physically abusing her 13-year-old daughter in the family home in the Gazi Baba area.
Procedures and next steps
According to the report received by police, the girl was often kept locked in one of the rooms inside the residence. The detention was carried out early on the morning of 03.09.2026 as part of the immediate response to the allegations.
Authorities notified a public prosecutor, a juvenile inspector and the Center for Social Work, which are all involved in assessing the child's welfare and the criminal aspects of the case.
Police said the case will be fully documented and that, once documentation is complete, an appropriate criminal charge will be filed.
The detained woman is 45 years old and from Skopje; the alleged victim is 13. No additional personal details were released while the investigation and social-protection procedures continue.
