Rabotnicki retain centre Robert Rikić; he sends message to the fans
Veteran centre Robert Rikić confirmed he will stay at Rabotnicki for the next season and appealed to fans for support.
Rabotnicki have confirmed the return of veteran center Robert Rikić, keeping an experienced presence in the paint as the club prepares for the coming season. The announcement arrived in a short video published on the team's official channels on 20 August 2026.
In the clip Rikić addressed supporters directly: "Greetings to our loyal supporters. It is with great pleasure that I confirm I will wear the same jersey next season. I believe we have unfinished business on the court and I hope that with your support and the kind of atmosphere only you know how to create, we will reach our shared goals," Robert Rikić said.
Role and context
The center — described by the club as a pillar under the hoops — is seen as a key piece for Rabotnicki's high ambitions in domestic competition. Management opted to retain continuity in the frontcourt as they build toward team objectives.
Rikić's domestic career also includes spells with the reigning champions MZT Skopje and with EuroNickel, experience that the club expects will help guide younger teammates.
The club framed the move as part of its plan to mount a competitive campaign in the national championship, while Rikić's message highlighted the importance of vocal fan support at Gradski Park.
The video confirmation was posted on Rabotnicki's official page on 20 August 2026 at 17:39.
