Rafinha trains apart from Barcelona squad and will miss Getafe game

Rafinha is training separately from Barcelona’s first team and will miss the club’s LaLiga fixture against Getafe, the club confirmed on Friday.

Late-September injury keeps him out

The Brazilian midfielder, who suffered the problem during Brazil’s friendly against Australia on 30 September, left the national team camp early and returned to Barcelona to follow a recovery programme. He has not rejoined group training since.

Reports from club circles indicate Rafinha will not be available for the match scheduled for Saturday (10 October 2026) at 18:30. The player’s availability for fixtures beyond this weekend remains unclear as he continues rehabilitation work.

Barcelona face Getafe in a local LaLiga encounter that resumes the domestic campaign after the international break. The coaching staff have adjusted weekend plans to cover for Rafinha’s absence while monitoring his progress day to day.

The club has kept details of the injury private, saying only that the player is following a recovery plan after returning from international duty. No further timeline for his return has been published so far.
