Handball celebration in Struga: Andrea Lekic and national players with children

On September 25, 2026, the Handball Federation of Macedonia brought its travelling programme to the Timi sports hall in Struga, turning the venue into a lively celebration of the sport for children from the area.
The event mixed playful drills, coaching moments and informal encounters: youngsters had the chance to learn basic techniques, try out exercises and meet established players in person. The atmosphere was full of smiles and encouragement, organisers said.
Stars with the next generation
Among the visiting players were Mario Tankoski, Goce Ojleski and Teodora Gulicoska. The organisers highlighted a special surprise: former world-class playmaker Andrea Lekic, who was named the best handball player in the world in 2013, joined the session and spent time with the children.
Federation representatives described the stop in Struga as another positive chapter for the caravan programme. "Another wonderful handball gathering and another successful stop of the Handball caravan," they said.
The visit in Struga is part of a broader effort by the Handball Federation of Macedonia to promote the sport across the country by bringing players and coaches close to young fans and future athletes.
