Brent tops $107.50 per barrel as oil and gas prices rise
Brent passed $107.50 per barrel while European gas approached about €82/MWh and major indices fell.

Global energy prices climbed on Monday, with Brent crude surpassing the $107.50 per barrel mark and European natural gas edging toward roughly €82 per megawatt-hour.
Market moves: oil up, gas firm, stocks slip
Brent crude futures moved above $107.50 a barrel, while U.S. WTI futures were trading at $103.24 per barrel. The rise in oil was accompanied by firmer European gas prices, which approached about €82/MWh.
On wholesale trading platforms, TTF futures were quoted at €80 per megawatt-hour. The stronger commodity prices weighed on equities: Russia's MOEX fell by 0.61%, France's CAC was down 0.40%, and Germany's DAX slipped 0.5%.
Market participants cited tighter supply expectations and continued demand pressure across fuel markets as key drivers of the moves. Traders are watching both geopolitical developments and inventory data for further direction.
Analysts say the current price momentum could keep volatility elevated in the coming sessions as participants digest new economic signals and seasonal demand patterns in Europe and North America.
