Real Madrid complete signing of Carlos Espi from Levante

Real Madrid have completed the signing of 21-year-old striker Carlos Espi from Levante, the club announced on Friday.

Espi has put pen to paper on a contract that runs until 30 June 2031 after Real activated his €25 million release clause to secure the transfer.

From Levante academy to the Bernabéu

The move represents the biggest sale of an academy graduate in Levante’s history, marking a notable milestone for the Valencia-based club as they cash in on one of their brightest prospects.

Last season Espi scored 11 goals in 25 La Liga appearances and was named the league’s best young player, statistics that underlined why Real were prepared to meet the release clause.

Real Madrid’s sporting hierarchy see Espi as a long-term option up front; the 21-year-old joins a squad that will look to integrate his goalscoring potential while he develops under the club’s coaching staff.

Espi’s contract to 30 June 2031 gives both player and club a multi-year framework to build on his rapid rise from Levante’s academy to one of Europe’s leading teams.
