Real Madrid confirms attendance at NBA Europe talks in London
Club president Florentino Perez will lead Real's delegation to Tuesday's key negotiations over a proposed European league.

NBA Europe has scheduled key negotiations for Tuesday in London, and Real Madrid has confirmed it will attend. The club will be represented by president Florentino Perez, who will lead their delegation to the talks.
Initial reports said invited participants could include Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Milan and Paris Saint-Germain. Organizers hoped to bring together several of Europe's biggest clubs to discuss the proposed competition.
What is on the table
The NBA-backed plan envisions a European competition made up of 12 permanent franchises, plus four additional teams that would qualify for places through a qualification process. Organizers see the model as a way to create a stable, high-profile league across the continent.
So far, the response from invited clubs has been mixed and plans appear to be shifting, underlining that the idea does not yet enjoy unanimous support in European basketball. Real Madrid's participation is viewed as especially significant given the club's stature and potential influence on future negotiations.
One unresolved issue remains whether an agreement can be reached with the EuroLeague, which has not accepted the proposed model of cooperation to date. That question is expected to be a central part of the conversations in London.
