Relegated to the repêchage bracket, Rushiti responded with three decisive wins. He beat Poland's Viktor Wojarski 9:0, defeated the Netherlands' Van der Weijd 5:2, and closed the sequence with a 4:0 victory over Abderrezak Gori.
