Reljić reaches taekwondo quarterfinals as Macedonian swimmers underperform in Taranto
Reljić beat the Italian contender 2-0 to reach the taekwondo quarterfinals; Macedonian swimmers posted below-par times.

Milijana Reljić opened North Macedonia's account at the Mediterranean Games in Taranto with a victory in taekwondo, while the nation's swimmers struggled to match expectations on the pool deck.
Reljić, competing in the 57-kilogram division, defeated home favourite Ana Kuorvo by a 2-0 score and moved into the quarterfinals of the tournament in Taranto, Italy.
Mixed day for the Macedonian delegation
In the swimming events the results were modest. Sara Jankovikj finished 10th in the women's 400 metres freestyle, clocking 4:34.83 — about ten seconds slower than her entry time.
Ognen Slavkovski placed 17th in the men's 400 metres freestyle with a time of 4:04.37, roughly one second faster than the time he had entered with.
Jovan Jankovski produced the best swim among the Macedonian quartet, taking 17th place in the 50 metres butterfly with a time of 24.86 seconds; 20 swimmers completed that race.
