Risto Mitrevski wins Indonesia Presidentʼs Cup with Persebaya
Persebaya beat Persib Bandung on penalties after a 1:1 draw to win Indonesia’s Presidentʼs Cup.
On August 7, 2026 Risto Mitrevski celebrated a trophy win in Indonesia as his club Persebaya lifted the country’s Presidentʼs Cup following a penalty shootout victory over Persib Bandung.
The final ended 1:1 after regular time, and Persebaya prevailed in the spot‑kick decider to secure the traditional pre‑season tournament title.
Mitrevski’s role and recent club history
Mitrevski, now 34 years old, continues to play abroad as an international Macedonian. He has been competing in the Indonesian league for a period and joined Persebaya after spending three years with Deva United.
His overseas career began in 2015 when he moved to Istra in Croatia. Since then he has had spells with Hapoel Haifa, Paralimni, Alashkert and Sabah before relocating to Indonesia.
The victory adds another international honour to Mitrevski’s resume and highlights Persebaya’s strength ahead of the new domestic campaign.
