RK Alkaloid beat Prilep 44:28 in first pre-season friendly
Alkaloid beat Prilep 44–28 in a 3×25-minute friendly in Mavrovo as coaches sought to give many players match time.

RK Alkaloid opened their pre-season schedule with a convincing 44:28 victory over Prilep in the teams' first friendly of the summer. The match report is dated 08.08.2026 18:35 and was filed by Zoran Gjorshoski.
Extended playing time to test the squads
The coaches agreed beforehand to play three periods of 25 minutes each so that a larger number of players from both sides could get minutes on the court. The altered format allowed coaching staffs to rotate lineups freely and evaluate form across the squad.
The game took place in Mavrovo, where Prilep again served as Alkaloid's sparring partner, repeating last summer's arrangement. That continuity gave both sides a useful baseline for comparison as preparations continue.
The friendly also provided practical assessment time for Alkaloid's head coach Kiril Lazarov and Prilep's coaching staff, who used the match to check players' physical condition and readiness for the competitive season ahead.
Alkaloid produced a high-scoring performance across their rotation, while Prilep used the fixture to give playing opportunities to several squad members. Both teams are expected to continue a series of preparatory matches in the coming weeks.
