RKE: Heating season 2026/2027 starts 15 October
RKE fixed the official start and end dates and reminded suppliers and residents about temperature rules and preparatory checks.
The Energy, Water Services and Municipal Waste Management Services Regulatory Commission of the Republic of North Macedonia (RKE) announced that the official heating season 2026/2027 will run from 15 October 2026 until 15 April 2027.
Key dates and conditional extension
RKE said the season may begin earlier — as of 1 October — and may be extended through 30 April at the latest when the forecast median outside temperature for the following day is equal to or lower than 12 °C; in that case suppliers must maintain heating.
