The Regulatory Commission for Energy reduced petrol by 1.5 denars per litre and diesel by 3 denars per litre; new prices take effect at 00:00.

Regulatory Commission for Energy cuts petrol and diesel prices; changes start at midnight

The Regulatory Commission for Energy decided today to lower fuel prices, with reductions taking effect from midnight tonight.

Petrol prices will be cut by 1.5 denars per litre, while diesel will fall by 3 denars per litre. Under the new price schedule, Euro-super BS-95 will be sold at 98.5 denars per litre and Euro-super BS-98 at 100.5 denars per litre. A litre of diesel will cost 97 denars from midnight.

Other fuel products also cheaper

The commission also cut the price of extra light heating oil for households by 3 denars per litre; it will be sold at 108.5 denars per litre. The price of fuel oil (mazut) was lowered by 0.285 denars per kilogram and will be 49.597 denars per kilogram.

The decision was taken by the Regulatory Commission for Energy (RCE) and is effective from tonight at 00:00. The changes affect retail pump prices across the country.
