Roma 2-2 Inter — Lautaro rescues Inter in derby
Manu Koné put Roma 2-0 up by halftime, but Lautaro Martinez scored twice to rescue Inter in the fifth round.
19 September 2026, 20:00 — AS Roma and Inter Milan played an entertaining Serie A derby in the fifth round that finished 2-2. The home side erupted out of the gate and took an early lead through Manu Koné.
Koné struck again before half-time, finding the net in the 37th minute to put Roma 2-0 ahead at the interval.
Inter answered immediately after the break: on the very start of the second half Lautaro Martinez pulled one back to make it 2-1 and breathed new life into the visitors.
Late equaliser and shared points
Lautaro Martinez then completed his comeback in the 79th minute, restoring parity for the reigning champions. Neither side could find a winner after that, so both teams left with one point.
After five rounds Roma and Inter remain unbeaten and sit level on 13 points at the top of the table.
