AS Roma signed Konstantinos Koulierakis from Wolfsburg
The defender signed a five-year contract; the transfer is worth €16.5 million plus bonuses and 20% of any future sale.
AS Roma completed the signing of Greek international Konstantinos Koulierakis in an official transfer from Wolfsburg on 2 August 2026.
Contract and figures
The 22-year-old defender on 2 August 2026 successfully passed medical examinations and signed a five-year contract with Roma; he will wear the number 33 shirt.
The transfer fee amounts to €16.5 million, plus an additional €1.5 million in the form of bonuses, and Wolfsburg will receive 20% of the fee in the event of a future sale.
Koulierakis made his debut for the Greek national team in 2022 and already has 22 appearances for the national side. He is a product of the PAOK youth academy and joined Wolfsburg in 2024 for an estimated €11.75 million.
The player had previously been linked with Crystal Palace and Benfica, but Roma finalized the transaction in the evening of 2 August 2026 to strengthen their defensive options.
Koulierakis is expected to be a backup to Mario Hermoso, rather than a first-choice option at centre-back.
