Roma beat Sassuolo 3:0 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on 7 November 2026, in a match from the 11th round of Serie A. The victory moved Roma up to second place in the table, directly behind city rival Lazio, who have one game in hand; reigning champions Inter also still have a match to play.
Clean win after quick double and a late seal
The match settled into a comfortable pattern for the hosts. Hermoso gave Roma the lead in the 27th minute. Three minutes later the situation became 2:0 after Valukievich put the ball into his own net.
Both sides had further chances that went unrewarded, including opportunities for the visitors, but Roma controlled the game. Mora added a third goal in the 58th minute to close out the scoreline at 3:0.
It was a routine triumph for the team under coach Gasperini and marked Roma's eighth victory of the season. The result underlines Roma’s intent to remain involved in the title fight this campaign.
With the table tightening, Roma will now look to build on this result as they chase the top of Serie A, while Lazio and Inter retain the option to respond when they complete their outstanding fixtures.
