Bučim mine processes 4.5 million tonnes of ore and produces over 40,000 tonnes of copper concentrate annually
The Radovish site processes millions of tonnes of ore annually and plans further modernisation to secure long-term operations.

The Bučim mine near Radovish is the country’s sole active copper producer and employs around 650 people.
Each year the operation processes more than 4.5 million tonnes of ore, yielding in excess of 40,000 tonnes of copper concentrate and about 450 tonnes of cathode copper.
"Quantities can vary depending on the production plan, ore characteristics and technological parameters. Gold is naturally present in the ore and, in the appropriate proportion, is contained in the copper concentrate, but the company does not have a final gold product, so its quantity is recorded as a constituent part of the produced concentrate," Bučim said.
Plans for steady production and modernization
According to the company, upcoming plans focus on maintaining stable and efficient production, optimising resource use and securing the long-term sustainability of mining operations.
Bučim says special attention will be given to modernising production processes, ensuring the technical safety of facilities and applying contemporary technologies and the best available techniques.
