Russia says it struck three cargo ships in and around Ukrainian Black Sea ports
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported hits at Mykolaiv, Chornomorsk and a vessel en route to Odesa; independent confirmation is lacking.

Russian forces said they struck three cargo vessels in and around Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.
According to the ministry, one ship was hit in the port of Mykolaiv, a second in the port of Chornomorsk, and a third vessel en route to Odesa was struck in the Black Sea.
Claims about military supply role, confirmation lacking
The statement said that "all three vessels were used to supply the Ukrainian armed forces." The ministry presented the hits as targeting logistics destined for Ukraine's military.
Independent verification of the strikes was not available. International news agencies stressed that the information provided by Moscow could not be independently confirmed.
The reported strikes add to recurring tensions and attacks affecting maritime traffic in the Black Sea since the full-scale invasion began, raising concerns about safety for commercial shipping and port operations in the region.
