Russian strikes on Kyiv: 7 killed, 57 injured in Solomyanskyi district
Strikes damaged residential buildings and a health facility; officials say attacks hit eight regions.
At least seven people have been killed and 57 wounded after Russian daytime strikes hit the Solomyanskyi district of Kyiv, city mayor Vitali Klitschko said. Earlier the city military administration reported that at least four people had been killed and seven injured.
Damage and regional impact
Klitschko said two multi-storey residential buildings and a health-care facility were damaged, along with other objects. The mayor’s office provided the updated casualty figures as emergency assessments continued.
Regional governor Timur Tkachenko reported that at least 11 civilian objects were damaged in attacks across the wider Kyiv region.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that strikes affected eight regions of the country, expanding the scope of the assault beyond the capital.
Officials have not yet released a full consolidated toll or a detailed timeline of the strikes; authorities are continuing on-site inspections to determine the extent of damage and casualties.
The situation remains fluid as local and regional services update figures and survey the affected neighbourhoods in Kyiv and surrounding areas.
