Russian strikes on Kryvyi Rih and Izium leave seven injured

At least seven people were injured overnight in Russian strikes on Kryvyi Rih and Izium in eastern Ukraine, Ukrainian officials said.

Sergej Ganja, commander of the Dnipropetrovsk regional anti-terrorist operation, reported that five people were wounded in the attack on Kryvyi Rih. Two men were hospitalised: a 42-year-old in serious condition and a 41-year-old with lighter injuries. Residential buildings and private houses in the city were damaged.

Around 04:20, the Russian military struck the eastern outskirts of Izium in Kharkiv Oblast with a reported aerial bomb, injuring two people, officials said.

Air force: mass drone attack, most intercepts successful

The Ukrainian Air Force said on social media that Russia launched 149 assault drones of the "Shahed" type overnight, along with "Gerbera" drones and drone imitators of the "Parodiya" type, and that 128 were shot down. "Hits from enemy aerial attacks were recorded at 13 locations, as were falls of downed (drone parts) at nine locations," the statement said.

Local authorities have begun assessing damage to housing and infrastructure in both cities and providing assistance to the injured. The incidents add to ongoing concerns about large-scale drone attacks and their effects on populated areas.
