Alen Rustemovski received by Macedonian Olympic Committee after European bronze
Daniel Dimevski hosted a reception on Sept. 28, 2026, and promised continued support and programmes for national boxing
On September 28, 2026, the president of the Macedonian Olympic Committee, Daniel Dimevski, hosted a reception for boxer Alen Rustemovski and representatives of the National Boxing Federation to mark Rustemovski's bronze medal at the European Championship in Sofia.
Rustemovski has enjoyed a strong run of results in recent weeks, taking two bronze medals in less than 30 days — one at the Mediterranean Games in Taranto and another at the European Championship.
Support and plans from the Olympic Committee
Dimevski described the boxer’s achievement as proof of his quality, dedication and hard work, and said the Committee will continue to provide direct support to Rustemovski.
In addition to individual backing, the president announced that the Macedonian Olympic Committee will roll out concrete programmes aimed at strengthening the National Boxing Federation and further developing the sport nationally.
The reception was attended by members of the federation alongside Rustemovski, and served both as recognition of the recent medals and as a forum to discuss next steps ahead of future competitions.
