Three Macedonian teams play the second-leg ties of the EHF European Cup on October 24, 2026. Alkaloid and GRK Ohrid head into their matches with comfortable first-leg advantages, while Butel Skopje face a much tougher task to stay in the competition.
Alkaloid travel to Austria to meet Ferlach after securing a 31-22 home win in the opening game. Coach Kiril Lazarov’s squad left for Austria yesterday to complete final preparations ahead of the return match, which starts at 19:00 on October 24, 2026.
GRK Ohrid are favourites to progress as well. The current EHF European Cup holders dominated Sport Toto 36-24 in the first leg and will play the return at the Biljanini Izvori Sports Center in Ohrid; that match kicks off at 18:30 on October 24, 2026.
Butel must erase a deficit
Butel Skopje have the hardest challenge of the three Macedonian sides. In the first meeting away against Gorica they were in a positive position six minutes from time, but ended up losing by three goals. The return is scheduled for 17:00 in the Rasadnik hall on October 24, 2026, and Butel will need to overturn that deficit to reach the third round.
The outcomes today will determine which of the Macedonian clubs move on to the next phase of the EHF European Cup and which finish their European campaign for the season.
