Sanja Dabevska signs for Hapoel Ashdod
Macedonian international Sanja Dabevska leaves Bor (Montenegro) to join Hapoel Ashdod in Israel.

Macedonian international left back Sanja Dabevska has completed a transfer to Hapoel Ashdod, the club announced on 04.08.2026. The move takes Dabevska from her most recent club, Bor (Montenegro), to the competitive Israeli championship.
Dabevska arrives with extensive experience at the club and international level and is expected to strengthen Ashdod’s back line. Her track record and work ethic were highlighted by club officials as key reasons for the signing.
Role and expectations
The 27-year-old (age if known by reader) will join a squad aiming to push higher in the Israeli league standings and to be more competitive in regional competitions. Hapoel Ashdod acquired Dabevska for her defensive solidity, leadership and scoring threat from the back court.
For Dabevska, the transfer represents a new chapter in her international career and another example of Macedonian players exporting talent abroad. She will be one of several foreign reinforcements counted on to raise the team’s level.
The signing was reported on 04.08.2026 and marks another cross-border move for a Macedonian national team player seeking playing time and new challenges outside the Balkans.
