Sara Mitevska wins J100 Aridea title in Greece

Sixteen-year-old Sara Mitevska captured the J100 Aridea title in Greece on October 10, 2026, completing a memorable week with a comeback in the final.

Final and the run-up

In the championship match Mitevska defeated Sofia Drozdenko 2-1 in sets (1-6, 6-1, 6-3), overturning an opening-set loss to lift the trophy.

The Macedonian had not dropped a set on her way to the final. Seeded seventh, she received a first-round bye, then beat Foteini Fasula of Greece 2-0 (6-1, 6-1) in her opening match. She followed with a 2-0 win over Elena Papadopulu of Bulgaria (6-3, 6-2), and in the quarterfinals overcame Ana Varsa of Romania 2-0 (7-6(5), 6-4). Mitevska completed her run to the final with a straight-sets victory against Lidia Panayiotidou of Greece, 2-0 (6-4, 6-4).

Mitevska also played doubles alongside Nina Tepić of Serbia; the pair were eliminated in the quarterfinals.

The title in Aridea adds an international junior-level trophy to Mitevska’s résumé and highlights her rise among players under 18.
