Fire in Studeničani Municipality being extinguished — no village currently at risk
Fire Brigade of the City of Skopje and three aircraft from the Directorate for Protection and Rescue are fighting the blaze; teams will stay on site overnight, the Center for Crisis Management says.

A wildfire in villages of the Municipality of Studeničani is being extinguished, emergency services say, and for now no inhabited place is at risk.
The Fire Brigade of the City of Skopje is conducting active firefighting operations on the ground. In addition, three aircraft from the Directorate for Protection and Rescue (DPR) have been deployed to support aerial water-drops over the affected area.
Authorities report that, at the current time, no village is endangered by the blaze.
The teams will remain on site throughout the night and the situation will be monitored continuously, the Center for Crisis Management (CCM) said.
The fire has affected open areas around several villages in Studeničani Municipality; so far officials have not released a definitive cause and are focusing resources on containment and protection of local settlements.
Residents in the vicinity are asked to follow instructions from emergency services and avoid the area while crews complete extinguishing and surveillance operations.
