Initial reports say two pilots who were aboard one of the helicopters have been rescued. The crews of the other aircraft remain missing and are being actively sought.
The aircraft came down in what has been described as "extremely unfavorable flying conditions," complicating rescue efforts and the work of emergency teams in the area.
Rescue teams continue searches
Ground and air teams are engaged in searching the crash site and surrounding terrain. Authorities have not yet released a full list of the missing or confirmed the total number of people who were on board each helicopter.
