Skopje win 4–0; Tiverija Brera hammer Pelister Pro 7–0 in season opener
On 24 August 2026 Skopje and Tiverija Brera recorded dominant wins as the Macedonian Women's Championship opened.

The new season of the Macedonian Women's Football Championship kicked off on 24 August 2026 with several decisive results in the opening round.
Key results from the opening day
Champion Skopje started the campaign emphatically, beating Kochani 4:0. Glorija Todorova opened the scoring in the 13th minute, Sara Kolarovska doubled the lead in the 28th, and Rabija Dervishi made it 3:0 three minutes later. Mila Paneva set the final score at 4:0 with a goal in the 44th minute.
The biggest win of the round came from Tiverija Brera, who routed Pelister Pro 7:0. Biljana Paneska gave the hosts the lead in the 22nd minute, and Teona Golabovska made it 2:0 in the 30th. Paneska added her second in the 58th, and Golabovska struck again in the 67th. Pavlinka Nikolovska made it 5:0 three minutes later, Ivana Ilieva extended the advantage to 6:0 in the 78th, and Golabovska completed the scoring to finish with a hat-trick.
In the city derby, Istatov earned a 2:1 away victory over Vardar. Iva Zdravevska put the visitors ahead in the ninth minute. Dzenita Kicara equalized around the half-hour mark, and Radica Choneva secured the win for Istatov in the 53rd minute.
Ljuboten recorded a 4:1 win against Kamenica Sasa. Hava Mustafa put the Tetovo side ahead in the seventh minute, Ulza Maksuti increased the lead to 2:0 in the 38th, and Iva Jovanoska converted a penalty for the third goal. Kalina Popeski made it 4:0 in the 72nd, while Hristina Jovanovska scored Kamenica Sasa’s lone goal in the 84th minute.
In the remaining match of the opening round, Rechica and AS United played to a 1:1 draw. AS United took the lead in the final minute of the first half through Ihdina Rechi, and Vanja Ristic equalized in the 58th minute to share the points.
