Six minors arrested in Centar, Skopje after robbery and attempted robbery

Six minors were detained in Skopje on October 4, 2026, after police said they threatened and robbed another minor in the Centar neighbourhood, and made an attempted robbery of a second youngster.

Authorities said the arrests took place at about 22:00 and that one of the suspects used a sharp instrument during the incident, which resulted in money being taken from one victim while a second was the target of an attempted theft.

Police steps and next moves

The arrests were carried out by officers from the Unit for Internal Affairs Centar and Bit Pazar of the Skopje Regional Police Directorate (SVR Skopje). The suspects are six minors from Skopje.

After investigators complete documentation of the case, the Unit for Internal Affairs Centar and Bit Pazar at SVR Skopje will file a criminal complaint on grounds of suspicion for the crimes of “robbery” and “attempted robbery” under Article 237 and Article 237 in conjunction with Article 19 of the Criminal Code.

The police statement described the events as a serious juvenile criminal matter; investigators will now gather evidence and statements to support the charges and determine whether other procedural steps are required.

No further personal details about the minors or the victims were released by police pending investigative procedures.
