Shkendija (Aracinovo) denies request for Shkendija (Tetovo) fans to attend Čair match

Shkendija (Aracinovo) has rejected a request to allow supporters of Shkendija (Tetovo) to attend the clubs’ first-ever official Macedonian First League meeting at Čair, the visiting fan group said on its official Facebook page.

Derby without both supporter groups

The fixture, part of the ninth round which resumes the championship after a three-week break, will be played on Sunday at Čair with kickoff scheduled for 13:00. The match is being billed as the most notable encounter of the weekend because it will be the first time the two Shkendija teams meet in an official PMFL match.

Supporters known as the Balistite said they submitted a request through Shkendija (Tetovo) asking to attend the game, but that the organizers received a refusal from Shkendija (Aracinovo).

Shkendija (Aracinovo) explained the decision by saying the measure was necessary for the safety of everyone at the stadium.

As a result, both organized supporter groups will not be present at Čair on Sunday, and the match will be played without the usual home-and-away fan contingents.
