Shkëndija (Araçinovo) is the surprise of the early season in the Macedonian First League after seven rounds, sitting third with 13 points following a 1:0 victory over Skopje at Čair. The debutant side has four wins and one draw from seven matches.
Standings and recent form
Only Shkëndija Tetovo (16) and Struga TL (14) are ahead of the Araçinovo team, with a three- and one-point margin respectively. Vardar are fifth, two points behind Shkëndija (Araçinovo).
The 1:0 win at Čair was Shkëndija (Araçinovo)'s first home victory this season; their earlier successes came away at Bashkimi, Arsimi and Bregalnica. That match was the only fixture in round seven that did not finish in a draw.
Sileks remain without a win for a fourth consecutive match and nearly lost at home to Bregalnica. Bashkimi and Vardar played out an entertaining 3:3 draw. In another match, Shkëndija Tetovo led 2:0 but again failed to beat Arsimi, while Tikvesh and Struga TL drew 2:2.
