Shkendija Aracinovo can reach a tie for second with victory over Arsimi at Čair
A win at Čair would place Shkendija Aracinovo level with Sileks, Struga TL and Tikvesh in the league table.
Shkendija Aracinovo can move into a tie for second place in the Macedonian First League with a win over Arsimi at Čair today, after a run of strong early-season results in their debut top-flight campaign.
Form and the stakes
Coming off an away victory against Tikvesh in the previous round, Shkendija Aracinovo travel to Čair to face Arsimi in the fourth round. A win would put them level for second with Sileks, Struga TL and Tikvesh.
Sileks and Struga TL are scheduled to play their fourth-round matches tomorrow, so at least until then Shkendija Aracinovo would sit among the immediate challengers for the upper spots on the table.
Arsimi have collected three points so far this season, so Shkendija cannot afford to underestimate their opponent despite Aracinovo's positive results.
Earlier this campaign Shkendija Aracinovo lost to Struga TL on the opening day, drew 1:1 at Čair with Sileks, and then beat Tikvesh away in Kavadarci. If coach Berat Imeri's side plays to that level again this afternoon they will have a strong chance of taking another three points.
