Shtip UGD to face Piacenza — return leg on Badnik
The Macedonian champions advance to the CEV Cup main round with home match on Dec 9 and a Badnik return on Jan 6, 2027 in Piacenza.
The Macedonian champion Shtip UGD will continue its European campaign in the CEV Cup after completing its first-ever participation in the Champions League.
By virtue of a first-round bye, Shtip UGD advances directly to the main round and has been paired with a strong Italian opponent — Piacenza.
The first leg of the tie is scheduled at home on 9 December at 19:00 in the SRC "Dzekson" in Shtip.
Return leg falls on Badnik
The return match is set for 6 January 2027 at 18:00 in the Palabanca Sport hall in Piacenza, Italy — a fixture that will take place on Badnik (Orthodox Christmas Eve, January 6). Shtip UGD will play on Badnik for the second consecutive year; last season the team also had a Badnik away match in the CEV Challenge Cup against Allianz Milano.
Facing Piacenza represents a tough test for the Macedonian champions as they step into the CEV Cup main round, and the tie will decide who progresses further in continental competition.
