Severe storm leaves Kochani without power; several roads blocked

A severe storm struck Kochani and the surrounding area this evening shortly after 20:00, bringing strong winds and heavy rain that disrupted traffic and everyday life across the town.
Roads and power
The town is without electrical power following the storm. The main Kochani–Shtip road has been closed because of mudslides and fallen trees across the carriageway.
Several local routes around Kochani are blocked. Traffic on the city exit toward Vinica has been stopped after a tree collapsed and scattered branches immediately after SOU "Gošo Vikentiev". Where possible, traffic is being rerouted through inner-city streets.
Boulevard "Todosija Punov" in Kochani is impassable due to large volumes of rainwater; there are vehicles trapped in the flooded section of the boulevard.
Traffic is also interrupted on the Kochani–Delchevo road on the stretch from the intersection near Gorni Podlog to the Gradovska intersection.
Firefighting and police teams are on site carrying out necessary interventions. Broken trees and scattered branches are visible in many parts of the town, further complicating movement.
Authorities recommend that residents remain in their homes until conditions calm down.
