Light snow on Straža pass, traffic reported normal

Light snow was blowing this afternoon on the Straža mountain pass on the Gostivar–Kičevo road, but snow drifts are not settling on the carriageway and there are no reported disruptions to traffic.

Videos shared on social networks and on the news portal Porta show brief flurries along the route toward Straža, while live-stream footage from the Ski Macedonia YouTube channel confirms snowfall at several ski centres in the region. Roads open, authorities advise caution

The Auto‑Moto Association of Macedonia (AMSM) and Public Enterprise Makedonija Pat published updates at 18:00 stating that traffic on all state roads was flowing normally on predominantly dry surfaces. ([amsm.mk](https://amsm.mk/za-nas/?utm_source=openai))

Despite the generally good conditions, both agencies urged drivers to adapt their speed to the prevailing conditions, obey traffic signs and drive with increased care.

On the Straža pass itself the snow is intermittent and mainly affects higher terrain and ski areas rather than the paved road; maintenance crews have not reported the need for special winter interventions so far.

Motorists travelling between Gostivar and Kičevo were advised to monitor official bulletins and live camera feeds for any change in weather or road status before setting out.
